写真の「土佐あまとう」は「万願寺唐辛子」を交配して生まれた品種で、高知県で商標化され販売されています。
長さが15cm前後もあり、細長くて大きめの獅子唐辛子です。
甘み種なので基本的には辛くはありませんが、稀に辛いものもあります。
艶のある果肉はやわらかです。
そのままでも良いですが、種を除いてからの調理がオススメです。
炒め物や煮物などいろんなお料理でお召し上がりいただけます。
