葉がちぢんでいるので「ちぢみ雪菜」とも呼ばれています。
小松菜のようなしっかりとした食感で、葉はやわらかく茎はしっかりとしています。
味にクセがなくアクもないので、おひたしや炒め物など、いろいろなお料理に使えます。
