夏の終わりに収穫される、この時期だけのマンゴーです。
果肉は鮮やかな黄色で濃厚な味わい。
手のひらよりも大きく食べごたえがあります。
香りが強くなってきたら食べごろです。

果皮は鮮やかな黄色で稀にピンク色もさします。
果肉はとても滑らかで、酸味は少なく濃厚な味。糖度が20度前後とマンゴーの中でもとても甘いです。
宮崎県では現在「生産者が一人だけ」、という生産量の少ない非常に希少なマンゴーです。

琵琶ほどのサイズのものもありますが、こちらはフィリピンマンゴーくらいの大きさです。
カット方法は、果実をナイフで３枚におろして、格子状に切れ目を入れ皮を押し広げてお皿に盛ります。
