ブラジルで農園を経営している奥山さんの畑で発見されたので、奥山さんの名前と、ルビー色の果皮からこの名前が付けられました。
それほど甘味は強くありませんが、皮ごと食べるとパリッとした食感を楽しめます。
マスカット系の、深みのある上品な味わいです。
