桃の中でも形・色づき・味ともに「最優良品種」と認められている逸品ですが、栽培が非常に難しいため、作り手が減少し収穫量も減少傾向にあります。
果肉がやわらかく甘くジューシーで、香りがとてもよい大玉の白桃です。
