早生種の桃で、露地栽培のものは6月から出荷されることから、ジューンブライド（6月の花嫁）にちなんで命名されました。
長野県産品は露地栽培になります。
両手のひらで包み込めるくらいの小ぶりな桃です。
日持ちも良く、「白鳳」の甘くてジューシーな味わいをそのままに受け継いだ美味しさです。
