The post 京いも（たけのこいも） first appeared on 丸友中部青果.]]> 里芋の品種のひとつです。
地上に頭を出している姿が筍に似ている事から、別名「タケノコイモ」とも呼ばれています。
京都で作られている海老芋も京芋と呼ばれているので、間違えやすいですが別の品種になります。
産地の宮崎県ではブランド認証基準を設けており、収穫後の畑で15日以上、土の中に貯蔵することで追熟して完熟させ出荷しています。
皮がむきやすく煮くずれしにくいことから、煮物に向いていますが、天ぷらにしてもホクホクとして美味しく召し上がれます。
