さくらんぼの中でも早生種になり、露地ものは6月上旬頃から収穫されます。
中野市は長野県一のハウスさくらんぼの生産地で、3月下旬から出荷されます。
果肉はやわらかめで、甘味が強く酸味は少ない爽やかな味わいです。
