名前は「作って安心」「売って安心」「食べて安心」の「安心ですメロン」から、メロンは芯を取って食べるので「アンシンデスメロン」⇒「アンデスメロン」となったという。アンデス山脈やアンデス文明とは関係はない。
選び方は編み目が細かく均一なものが、甘味や香りが良いものと言われる。

The post 夕張メロン first appeared on 丸友中部青果.]]> 正式な品種名は「夕張キング」で「夕張メロン」という名前は夕張市農業協同組合の登録商標です。
他のメロンよりも形や色、網目など外見があまり良くなく、また、完熟直前の収穫と熟成が早い等の理由から柔らかすぎて「腐っている」という反応もありますが、この柔らかさと完熟であることが夕張メロンの特徴です。
果肉はオレンジ色で甘みが強く、果汁も豊富です。
完熟で出荷されるので、日持ちがあまりよくないです。

The post らいでん（雷電）メロン first appeared on 丸友中部青果.]]> 北海道の３大メロンと呼ばれているのは、｢夕張メロン｣｢ようていメロン｣、そして｢らいでんメロン｣です。
「らいでん」という名は産地の共和町付近にある｢雷電海岸｣という地名から名付けられたもので、「らいでんルピアレッド」「らいでんレッド０１」「らいでんレッド１１３」「らいでんティアラ」の4種の赤肉種と、「らいでんクラウン」の青肉種があります。
メロン以外にも「らいでん」のブランド名でスイカ・馬鈴薯・スイートコーンなどがあります。
産地では日本で初めてメロン専用の光センサーを導入。糖度・形状を検査し安定した高品質なメロンを選定出荷しています。
甘さが濃厚で、果汁もたっぷりです。
