大きく分けて、中国原産のプラムと、ヨーロッパコーカサス原産のプルーンの2つに分類され、それぞれ色や味が異なります。
大石早生は、そのプラムの品種の中でも出荷が一番早い品種です。こちらでは、はじめに和歌山県産、続いて山梨県産の入荷があります。果肉はやわらかで、食べるとジューシーで、さわやかな甘酸っぱさが口の中に広がります。初夏の味覚をどうぞ。

大きさは大きめのミカンほどで、子供にあたる「貴陽」よりは一回り小ぶりです。
果皮は濃い鮮紅色で、表面にブルームがたっぷりとつきます。
果肉は乳白色で果汁が多く、酸味は少なく甘みの強い濃厚な味わいで、日持ちの良い品種です。
夏の高級フルーツとして贈り物にも好まれています。

The post 貴陽（プラム） first appeared on 丸友中部青果.]]> 貴陽（きよう）は、平成8年(1996年)に種苗登録された新しい品種のプラムです。
受粉や成育管理など栽培がとても難しいため、生産量が少なく出荷時期も短いのでプラムのなかでも希少です。
大きいものでは、桃と同じくらいの大きさになります。
とにかくジューシーで糖度が高く、適度な酸味がおいしさを引き立てています。

果実は比較的大きめで、プラムの中では比較的日持ちもする方です。甘みと酸味がバランス良く調和された品種。表面が緑色をしているため、見た目は良くありませんが、果肉自体は濃赤色をしています。

出始めから7月中旬くらいまでは、『レッドビュート』『紅りょうぜん』『サンタローザ』といった品種が出回ります。
食物繊維が多く、整腸作用に優れるため便秘解消に最適です。また酸味の成分はリンゴ酸とクエン酸で、疲労回復に効果。カリウムなどミネラルも豊富で、高血圧予防に有効です。
